Fonterra, a proud New Zealand Co-operative built by generations of farming whānau (families), believes nutritious food is essential to sustain people today and for future generations to thrive. Located in Palmerston North, the Fonterra Research & Development Centre (est. 1927) is one of the world’s largest dairy research facilities and is home to 350 people comprising of nutritionists, scientists, researchers, and engineers from diverse nationalities. Join us for an opportunity to explore the FRDC. The Centre visit will provide you with insights into their pioneering research and innovative projects. Following this, you will see the Pilot Plant facilities, the Whole Genome Sequencing Suite, the Microscopy lab, and the invigorating Food Lab.

Welcome Tuesday 12 November, 15.00 – 18.00
A formal welcome or Pōwhiri, scheduled from 15.00 to 16.30, will bring a distinct local and cultural perspective to this meeting. Delegates will receive more information by email about how to prepare and what to expect from this welcome.
This Powhiri is followed by a cocktail function providing excellent networking opportunities and a chance to connect with industry and business leaders.

Conference Dinner Thursday, 14 November, 18.30 - 22.00
The Conference Dinner is being held at the Manawatu Golf Club, a tree-lined, beautifully manicured park-like setting with picturesque views over the golf course. The Manawatu Golf Club is situated in Palmerston North's suburb of Hokowhitu, bordering the banks of the Manawatu River and the city's Centennial Lagoon. Established in 1895, the Club claims the title of the oldest golf course in New Zealand and has a proud history of hosting New Zealand's top professional and amateur events.
The Dinner will provide a true taste of New Zealand, showcasing some of the best foods and drinks we have on offer.
The Glyn O. Phillips Prize 2024 and other awards will be presented during the evening and the selected host of the 18th International Hydrocolloids Conference in 2026 will be announced.
Chartered buses and rideshares will take you to the Dinner and to your accommodation afterwards.
